This is just FYI for anyone who has this problem. My Wyadotte woke up and couldn't hold up her head. Her beak was caked with dried on manure. I called my brother the vet and he said to keep her hydrated by squirting small amounts of water down her beak with a syringe which I did. He visited that night with a tube and told me to give her small amounts of baby food carrots or peas every two hours and showed me how to put the tube down her throat and into her crop. I did this every two hours for about 36 hours (not at night) and thought she was dying because her coordination was poor and her head drooped to the ground. Then she started to recover and is fine now. My brother thinks she may have had botulism which kills lots of ducks because their heads droop till they drown. So if anyone has this problem, maybe this will help. Oh, yes, I forgot that I also added antibiotic to her water and as a precaution, to the water of all the chickens.
