Drop in egg productivity

Hi there. I have some coturnix quail and I usually get about 7 eggs per day from my flock. The last couple days I've only been getting 3 or 4. Why was there a sudden drop in eggs laid and what can I do to get them back up to where they were before? I haven't started anything new. Same as usual.

Something could have scared them - playing children, noise from a storm, a predator, even one of the birds being aggressive. If whatever scared them stops they are likely to start producing as usual within a week or so, if it's still happening you need to figure out how to stop it. Or the reason could be completely different..
