Droppings in Run

Hi all,
I'm so bummed. This is the first time I've noticed rat or mice droppings in my run after years of keeping chickens and I don't know what to do.
Below is a pic of the run. I remove the food and water every night but I've been finding dropping on the latter in the mornings. 1- I didn't know they could squeeze in the screens when the gate is closed. 2- Why now and why am I seeing droppings only on the latter?

Sorry to not be clear.. these are either mice or rat droppings.

The gap between the frame and door is greater than 1/2". Mice can squeeze through that gap easily.

I’ve got a rat problem too. They ca squeeze through stupid small openings, and if they can’t they’ll chew through. Look for gnawing
