Baby Ayam #3 hatched, but had to be assisted due to the membrane drying out and turning dark quickly. It seemed weak so I was advised to give it warm milk, which I did every 30 mins for about 2-3 hours. It seemed to rally, but it's quite unsteady and keeps falling backwards on its back. It gets up each time. It's chirping and pecking things, but acts drunk. The 2 first chicks were unsteady too, but not to this extent. Is it normal?

In the future, avoid giving them milk. Birds do not digest lactose like we do, so milk isn't a good choice for them.

Do you have something like Poultry Nutri Drench on hand? If yes, give it a few drops of that. Do it carefully, and let it drink it on its own so it doesn't aspirate.

I don't have any on hand, but I think a run to the feed store is a must tomorrow for a few emergency supplies. It's doing good, I think. Still wobbly, but we'll reassess tomorrow and see if it makes gains in strength. Thank you!
