Please help me!!!!! I have a hen 13 or so weeks old hen that was fine at night on roost to falling down next morning. I gave vitamins & Electrolytes. Next day laying down. 2 days later still laying down but eating & drinking if I get it close enuf to her & her poo looks normal. She can't move herself. I added a antibiotic with vitamins. Is it too late or will she recover? Should I put her down? I have no idea what's wrong.

Do she get outside to free range where she could have eaten something toxic? Mareks disease is a virus that can cause similar symptoms, but botulism, or poisoning from lead paint chips, old lead shot in the ground, or moldy feed can cause these types of symptoms. Here are some links about Mareks and botulism:

Yes she gets out but only a couple hours while I hawk watch now. I may have some sort of unknown plant that's poisonous but I don't think I do. They only cover a small area when out. 1/4 acre maybe. I've had several chickens do this unfortunately & have put them down before I learned of things to give them. The last one I gave this to is big & fine now. This one is alert & wants to get up now but her feet r curled up still & she just can't do it. She's eating alot & drinking too & trying to move today. I'm not sure if she can recover tho..weak muscles, crunched feet. Can they come back & have legs work again?
