My 5 month old has been declining for about two weeks now. First started out being a little off balanced and sitting down more often in the yard instead of milling about. Now this week he is walking all drunk and wobbly, it's clear he has a hard time controlling his leg movement, sometimes he doesn't spread his toes out which also causes him stumble. Worst of all is he will do full on splits when trying to catch his balance and has a hard time getting back up, it's sad to see. I have done tons of research and looked at too many poo pictures at this point with no good answers, so I'm adding to the posts now!
Things to note:
-he is eating and drinking normally (tons)
-preens and is still doing his normal behavior... Which is exploring even though he struggles
-healthy color comb
-was put back on chick feed this week to aid
-on B complex for the past couple days
-on probiotic water w/acv
-on fermented feed +yogurt (has crossedbeak)

He is still all there mentally and is hyper, it's like his legs are betraying him. Here is a pic of his poo tonight which is the first time he's made a concerning one. Looks like pellets, but he's on crumbles. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you for reading. I love this guy and need to save him.

Can you get photos of him too?
What were you feeding before you put him back on chick starter?

Check his crop, is it emptying overnight.
Balance issues, doing the splits, etc. sounds like it could be Marek's disease.
The poop is not normal though. If you have a vet, getting a fecal float is a good idea.
If not, then I would be inclined to treat for worms and Coccidiosis. Corid and Safeguard both can be found at Tractor Supply.

I was feeding him organic Layer feed 16 weeks+ and read on here that roos do better on mixed flock or chick starter. Since it was about the same time I did the switch when he started having issues, I thought I'd experiment with the food incase it was a diet deficiency and switch back. His crop is good, packed every evening and empty every morning.
No chicken vets around this area. I do have Corid, should I try that, or do safe guard for worms?
Thank you for helping

Is the chick starter you got fresh? Is there a mill date on the bag?
Interesting the problems started when you switched his feed.
I would try the Corid and see if that helps. You can also de-worm at the same time.

Both feeds were fresh, just thought the layer feed was lacking so switched him back to chick feed. Didn't help😢 I can use Corid and Safeguard together? No one else in flock has issues, should I do this for all of them anyways? I don't want to put unnecessary chemicals in them if I don't need to.

Is he eating and drinking normally? Could another cockerel or roost have beeen keeping him feom water and food? I do think that Mareks could be a possibility. Was he vaccinated? Here is a good article with helpful inormation:

Eating half his size still, not slowed down at all! No other males with him, he's also never crowed and doesn't act like he's a boy.... 🤷🏼‍♀️ No, did not get Marek's Vaccine.

Poop still watery like you posted earlier?

I would only treat him.
