dry, flaky feet on week old chick

what could cause this? is it something i’ve done wrong? the other girls seem to be okay, and only other one seems to have kinda dry feet, but not like this one. is there anything i can do to help it or stop it? it’s not my first time raising chicks, but i’ve never seen them have feet like this

They just look dry to me. You could put a little coconut oil or Vaseline on them if you wanted. But I wouldn’t worry too much

okay good! it’s hard not to worry haha, i’ll put a small bit of vaseline on them to see if it helps

checked on her feet this morning and they are a lot better, hardy any flaking now. vaseline works wonders!
