Dry hatch humidity vs weight loss

I have two different breeds in the incubator running dry hatch, hygrometer inside reading avg 30rh, incubator reading 52rh, the room average 70rh. Small eggs at day 10 have lost an avg of 10% weight and the large eggs have lost an avg of 7%. There's not a lot of room in those small eggs. Was planning on running dry until day 16. Should I be concerned about the difference in weight loss, or the fact that they have already lost 10%? Thoughts or suggestions appreciated

No feedback so I went ahead and added water to bump the humidity up to 45% to slow weight loss down for the smaller eggs and keep the large eggs on track as they are good. First time experiencing different weight loss levels on eggs incubating together. I do believe these smaller eggs have thinner shells and suspect that is the reason they are losing a greater percentage of weight on the dry hatch.

Don't know how to delete a thread 🤪 so I guess I'll just leave this here.

I actually appreciate it as I have had no answer to my similar question. It's stressful.

Smaller eggs would have a greater surface area to volume ratio in general so I would think they would lose moisture faster than bigger eggs. But I also know many people dry hatch quail eggs (1/4 the size of a regular chicken egg) so there might be species differences but I wouldn’t think they’d be huge. I can’t answer your question exactly but in general I think your eggs should be fine (big and small). Then again this is all theory! Best of luck on your hatch!

My small eggs hatched out fine, albeit a day early. I don't have my notes handy but if I recall they ended up at 16-17% weight loss total..but as I said, I bumped the humidity up to 45
