Dry incubation?

I really think (based on three hatches) weighing the eggs should be a part of learning the best techniques for dry hatching. So far, the closer the egg weight loss is to the ideal 13% (chickens) the better the hatch rate.
And when lockdown comes, I saturate the bottom of the incubator. If the eggs have lost 13% or more of their weight, there is no way, the chickies will drown. Have not had a single sticky chick.

hope that helps.

Do you weigh yours? I Just candled them and i only have 1 that looks clear! Although i have 9 brown eggs in there and they are hard to see. I add a little more water just now.

yep, I weigh mine. Use a digital postal scale. But I'm about to try hatching some shipped eggs, and will have to try to gauge moisture loss by the size of the air cell. Should be fun.

Congrats on your good fertility!!! Hope your hatch goes well.
