In the past I have always fed layers on Layers Mash. The main reasoning being that it takes them about 3 to 4 hours eating to get their daily ration, as opposed to about 30 mins with pellets.

This keeps them gainfully occupied for a decent amount of the day, and less likely to resort to mischief making.

On the other hand, pellets are popular, and easier to get around here.

So what do y'all think?

Yep. I can see the sense in that

When we get out of this neighbourhood and into something a little more rural I can see myself doing the same.

Meanwhile, they will spend their day in an 8 ft by 3 ft enclosed run, which will be moved every other day.
