This is my first Spring with the free range birds running around.

Any concern that they will eat dry weed and feed that I typically put down this time of year?? I don't know why they would be attracted to it, except that they seem to peck up pretty much everything....

Thanks!

I would say weed and feed would be not good for chickens. I do think it says on the bag how long to keep pets and kids off the lawn after you put it down - but I'm not sure that poultry would fall into that category. Besides - chickens will do the feed

part. And if there are dandilions mine have been known to take care of the weed part too

I wouldn't put that stuff where my birds, pets, or kids would be.

If you read the ingredients on the label, and google the chemical names and MSDS, for example, google "carbaryl MSDS" (Material Safety Data Sheet) you can get an idea what's toxic and what's not. Bear in mind these only tell what the individual chemicals do, not how they interact with each other and become a lot worse.
