I want to dry some dandelions for my girls to have in the winter. Whats the best way to do it if its even possible at all?

i would like to know if there is a way to do that my self

Lie flat to dry in a window, dehydrator, or oven with a temperature setting below 125 degrees. When the dandelion root is dried place it in an air tight container label with the date and contents. Dried dandelion root is best used within 1 year. You can also freeze them.

Do you half to have the whole root? Or can you just use it from the steam up?

We dried ours in the oven and they did fine but they were just stem and up i didnt want to pull roots and all bc we have so many that would be an entire day pulling those things! Lol

i just got it done in the oven my self with just the steam's and up. all though in large amount's they kinda have a odd smell to them butt not to bad. the girl's went ape **** for em. butt i plain on freezeing and usuing them in winter.

Thats wht i am doing too. My girls went crazy over them too. They were like oh my something new??? They didnt realize it was the things they had been eating when they went out just done a different way!!!
