Drying membrane

We have an egg that picked yesterday a lot of the shell is off but the membrane is getting dry being exposed and incubator. Should we dampen the membrane? The chick is trying to get out

Got out on its own. Unconventional, did not crack around the egg, only one side was broken open! Phew.
