I have a hen sitting on 6 eggs for a little over a week. I have full confidence in this hen hatching and raising the chicks. Problem is another hen has decided she wants to commit to this brooding to. The first hen dosen`t seem to mind the company and there is not fighting over the eggs that i`ve seen. Is this going to be a bad situation at some time in the hatching/caring for the chicks? Should I break the second hen and stay with the original plan or take a chance on the partnership? Never had this problem before so i`m asking for experienced advise. I don`t want to give the other hen eggs to hatch because I don`t want that many new birds and my confidence in the other hen is not all that.
Advise please.

Sometimes co brooding works, and sometimes it becomes a disaster. My inclination would be to either break the second hen or set her up with her own nest site and eggs.
