How cold are your nights? That could still be impacting how much they need to eat.

Make sure you aren't feeding mice, rats, chipmunks, squirrels, wild birds, etc. When people are going through that much extra feed, that's often the problem.

What some people use to great effect is a treadle. You can search here for make your own plans or purchase one online. I've read that there is a learning curve for your birds to use one but if they do get the knack of it your waste to other animals is eliminated.

If you figure out what is feeding on the chicken food it may be, depending on animal, eliminated by putting the feed up (taking away) at night if that's when the buffet is occurring.
