Hey folks, our heavier breed (black australorp) hens 2/3 of them, stopped laying and the third is slowed significantly. Our amerucaunas are still egg laying power houses.
Their feed hasn't changed, it's sunnier now (have lots of shade when wanted) and we give them de wormer in their water before winter and in spring (few weeks ago). THey are in a run 8 birds 2 of them roosters in a 8 ft by 45-60 ft run, but they constantly are flying out so really they may as well be free range eating lots of bug and forage on top of the commercial feed. (we'll be geting a solar poultry fence soon and rotating them ever so often.
Their poops are 2-3 times the size, just green and runny, and egg less D: We have people wanting the eggs still after winter, and we've been dying for our anticipated surplus for things like deviled eggs.
Any info is appreciated and any questions to help find the solution feel free to ask!
