dual purpose x ranger ?

Do you think crossing a dual purpose roo say wyandotte with a ranger would result in a good meat chick?Also how would you go about holding back a meaty to breed?
 
The offspring of the cross will be a better growing bird than it's dual purpose parent but not as fast as the ranger parent. Your still looking at around 15 weeks until processing.

Select for fast feather growth and weight gain. For the wyandottes, select for the fastest growing out of the bunch, same with the rangers.. feathers next.
