I know there was some talk of him retiring last year, so I'm glad to see he's still offering poultry this year. He's a great resource for some hard to find fowl.

That being said, my experience (and it seems like others have said similar) is that live chicks or poults are the way to go. Hatching eggs were not packaged as ideally as I would have liked. Simply placed in egg cartons surrounded by shreaded paper.

None broke, but all had detatched air cells and some were scrambled due to PO rough handling. Live chick order is worth the extra $ IMHO.

Does anyone know about his minimums? For example his minimum chick order is 25. Does that mean orders of chicks have to be in multiples of 25 or could someone order 32 chicks in one order?

I ask Duane that same question not to long ago and he said it's only 25, 50, or 100 chicks per order you can't order 35 chicks needs to be 25, 50, or 100. Kinda a bummer if you want abit more then 25 but not as much as 50 but it's for safety reasons I think and how his boxes are set up.

The price list says save $5 or $8 COD charge by shipping express mail. Seems the express mail is twice as much as priority mail and $5 or $8 more priority and COD would still be cheaper than express mail.

Am I doing the math worng here? Anyone have experience with this?

I could be wrong but I think you save the 5 or 8 if you pre pay, not at the P.O. at pick up time...I think

After reading your response, I looked at theprice list again. I believe you are correct. Foe some reason I had COD in my head a priority mail. There is no mention of priority mail; only express mall.

not a problem...glad of being helpful....do you or any one know if his RIR are showable?
