Dubbing OEGB

Yep, it's for showing, preventing frostbite, and for fighting (preventing damage to facial objects like comb, wattles) - Also most games in need of a dubbing have some awfully big, floppy, irritating combs anyway.

They don't grow back.

It is for showing, only in males though, because the breed originally comes like that before cockfighting was illegal. However with OEG's and OEGB's they weren't fought, I think it's just for frostbite and to show the birds' gamey appearance, otherwise it will just look like a small average rooster.

They don't need it though, yes, unless you plan to show them. (males)

Where are you in Ga? I am sure if you contact Bob Bridges, the OEGBCA district director for that district he would either help you out or find someone close enough to you to help out..

Thanks everyone. I was wondering if it was like cropping a dogs ears. Some of those traditions have changed now. I just never thought about something like that in a chicken.
