if your dad lets his snakes all over the house than why not chickens?
idk... my parents are like that.

they are great pets, just keep humidity at 60% you will need a bin to put it in, paper towles can be used for bedding, you will need a heating pad and set it to 94 F°, they need a hide, when the snake is a baby feed it mice 1nce a week when there grown up feed them every two weeks.
oh, and the rat/mouse should be as big as around as the biggest part of the snake :)

My dad feeds his snakes frozen thawed rabbits and rats. The rabbits are for our Python. He's too big for rats now. All I know is that my dad orders their food offline from a place called Rodent Pro. Snakes are fun, but they can be very ornery. My dad's boa hates to be handled, which makes it hard to clean her cage when she makes a "mess". You also can't really do anything with them besides watch them eat. We can't watch my dads snakes eat because they won't eat if someone is watching

Some advice, if you ever do get a snake, make sure and do lots of research before you get them. Just like you would with any other animal.

Do you feed your snakes live rats/mice? My dad only ever did it once and it didn't go well. My dads snake was only 1ft long at the time, and the mouse started attacking the snake. My dad started doing frozen thawed after that. It's safer for the snakes, and it isn't quite as sad as feeding them live animals
