Hi - can I join? I'll pm op.

I am new to chickens this year. Read up on them all winter and finally got my little ones in April. Got 3 d'uccles from mstricer her, 2 cochin pullets from the Cochin Coop and 3 silkies from Callie at Woods Edge. The d'uccles were my first and so far my favorite as far as personality. I specifically chose chickens who were supposed to be sweet and people friendly since they will be my children, lol!

I put sand in the coop and used 2 bags of the bagged sand for weight in trucks mostly in the winter and 1 bag of playsand. I am switching it out today to all play sand b/c the silkies are dirty from the other stuff and the coop is very dusty . I don't think the play sand will be as dusty and definitely not dirty.

That's all for now!
