I also have a Buff Orpington named Khloe. Shes' really sweet too.

I picked the name Ruby because I love Pokemon, and three of the games are called Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. I almost named her two kids Sapphire and Emerald :gig but I named them Letty and Earl instead.

Cool! Earl was a BO/RIR. We had to cull him though because he was vicious to my other rooster Randy. He was literally starving him. Randy was about half the weight he should have been for a 7 month old roosters. Earl was a nice rooster, just not so nice to the other chickens.

Well here is a pic of my birds free ranging today!

I kept the two "flocks " apart by not letting them go past that fire pit. Then later on they got comfortable with each other an they started free ranging together, but turkey an Jill kept there distance.
After awhile it worked!

That's Jill on the roost (she fells safe up high) an that's turkey in the middle an in the bottom left is pepper my dominate hen. Witch is good she trust them in her run sense they just wandered in there... But when turkey went to get some food out of turn he got it an pepper freaked an bite him. Not pecked. Bit an bit so hard when he took off she was dragged with her until the feather plucked out... * sigh* well it was good until that! But it was progress!

I'm glad they are kind of getting used to each other! How is Jill's head doing??
