My chicks were 45 minutes away from me and they sent them about an hour away to another post office instead of here! Now the tracking status says they are on their way to the final destination. FINALLY!
I'm getting 5 different breeds. Hopefully all females like I ordered.
2 Golden Campines
2 Black Australorps
2 White Leghorns
2 Easter Eggers
And 2 Buff Orpingtons!
I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night because I'm so nervous and excited for my chicks! I woke up at 4:00am and couldn't sleep anymore. I've been waiting by the phone for the last 2 hours! I hope they call soon! My mom said they will definitely be here today because they were shipped express mail, which is the fastest there is.
Cool. There is a new addition to our yard! They are called Starlings! They are little black birds and they are really fast and jumpy, so it was hard to get a good picture of them! But I got some pictures!! It's awesome, Starlings along with: Blue Jays, Cardinals and Doves! And of course the ones that I could live without: Crows and hawks. And of course about 10 and counting of squirrels! And to go with all of our beautiful wild animals: CHICKENS!!! I'll post pics of the Starling/Starlings later!!
Ya I have Starlings to! They eat a ton of bugs and worms. They are nesting right by my window so at 6:00 a.m every morning they start making such a racket!!! But they are still pretty! There is a new addition to our yard! They are called Starlings! They are little black birds and they are really fast and jumpy, so it was hard to get a good picture of them!
