Ducclelover10's chat thread! (Continued)

Not if you only have 10 chickens as pets! I only have five birds, and I get so angry when my Silkie and EE go broody. (They do it frequently, and at the same time

Maybe for you, but I have been praying for a broody!

My chickens are broody so much!

My poor little d'Uccle is stuck sleeping alone on the high perch because both of her perch buddies are broody. :(

One of my Buff Orpington hens keeps trying to go broody for the 4th time in the last two years, but my mom said "NO!" Because I already have 9 chicks in the garage. Next year I won't be able to let them go broody either because I want to order from Meyer Hatchery again and get some Blue Splash Maran's, Speckled Sussex, Barred Rocks, and Possibly some d'Uccle's.

I really want my hens to hatch some chicks, but I want some new breeds, which means I can't let them hatch chicks next year either. Otherwise my mom and dad won't let me order the other breeds I want... I will have two flocks of chickens by September, and my mom and dad said I'm not allowed to have more than 15 chickens in each coop. Which means I have the choice between letting my hens hatch chicks and still having the same breeds of chickens I have now, or ordering new breeds. I choose new breeds ;) lol

Edit: Sorry for the long post :P I wasn't sure how to get all of that into a short paragraph.
