Oh. Well it all depends on the tornado. The best tornado is a tornado that would only tear off a couple of shingles and smash a few windows. But the tornadoes we get up here are enough to blow the front of your house clean off (if your house isn't sturdy enough) or to bulldoze your whole house over like a lawnmower.

I fear them. I would never live in tornado alley (no offense to people who do). Tornados freak me out. Granted I do live in a hurricane zone, I'd take a hurricane over a tornado any day. But that's just my opinion...

Yeah...I don't particularly like them, but there is something about them that reminds you of God's power.

Easy-peasy. Pick your property wisely (the best land up here is the land framed by hills),build a sturdy barn, dig an underground storm shelter, and you and your livestock are pretty much safe!

Im sure it takes lots of planning before you buy a house in that area. Storm shelters are a must. Do you take ALL of your animals into the shelter, or leave them in a barn? I thought the sturdiest houses are made of concrete, not wood (correct me if I'm wrong). What's yours made of? My house is pretty old, so it's made of concrete bricks and it's very hurricane resistant, so it would probably be able to stand a tornado. (Not that we ever get them)
