So excited! My school found a stranded juvenile and a bunch of turtle hatchlings that me and my friend get to work with! They are Northern diamondback terrapins.

I have 2 turtles! Their names are Lucy and Roger.

Cool! What kinds are they? My school has about 25 turtles. Some sliders, a musk turtle, a box turtle, and tons of Diamondback terrapins. We have a diamondback terrapin conservation club, as they are threatened in NJ. We take in wild turtles, help them recover from illness, injury, or habitat loss, and release them, as well as take hatchlings from our marked nests, raise them to a size where they can survive without being eaten, and release them. The only ones we keep permanently are ones that cannot survive in the wild. My turtles are all the ones that most likely will get released someday. I am hoping my three legged one can stay...
