yeah I'm far from Oregon!! I will be going to Washington soon though. Do they chirp a lot at night or do you just put a towel on the cage??

Ooh! I love Washington too! At night they just sleep as long as the light is off and it is peaceful, it is in their nature to sleep at night and be active in the morning. I recommend getting two parakeets instead of one because when you are gone they can play with each other all day long, but it is also harder to tame them that way, but I think it's worth it. I have parakeet treat recipes on my website:)

alright well I will look into them. I get paid this weekend, then I can start saving for a couple. I will go check out your website too! Should I get two girls or two boys if I don't want baby's?? Also do they lay eggs on a regular basis or just when they mate??

Two girls would be good, I don't know about two girls, but I have a male and female and the female could lay an egg and mate but she hasn't because she has no place to lay, plus you can always throw any surprise egg out the first day you see it, but I think it is safe to get a male and female, they shouldn't mate if they have no nest box.

okay!! Well thanks for all the info, I just asked my mom about it and she said it could be a possibility, here's hoping!! I have a farm going in my bedroom already, that was the reason I couldn't have more pets XD
