Hi Everyone! New here and hoping for suggestions. We had this sweet girl released to our care when she was a few days old. With the guidance of our vet, we were able to get her leg in the correct position, she got to the point where she had duckling zoomies and could get around. Just days ago she regressed, she can stand but has trouble walking. It's like she wants to pick up her leg and can't and it just slides. We are prepared to get a wheelchair and do whatever we can for her. I'm sure that additional weight as she grows will continue to make this challenging. Any suggestions on correcting this again or ways we can make modifications to give her the best possible life? She seems to get around better on sheets and blankets so we just made that adjustment.

Such a precious little one. Did the vet say anything about niacin deficiency? or splay leg? Niacin def hit Peknis worse because of fast growth. There is a product called Durvet Liquid B Complex TSC usually carries it and it can also be bought on like. The dose is 1 ml over a small amount of tasty treats daily. This duckling really need to get started on it ASAP. Weak legs lameness bowed leggs are always a sign of niacin deficiency.
Can you give us some back ground on what you have done so far? Having her on something that give her traction is a good idea. Does her legs go out to the sides?

Thanks for the response! She did not suspect Niacin deficiency, her leg was actually dislocated and required a splint and wrap. We wrapped her like a little burrito for 2 days, lots of physical therapy, and helped her with food and water and the leg corrected itself mostly. Her toes are curled in and the leg sticks out some, the vet said she would never walk right but the goal was to be able to use the leg to at least move around. I feed Mazuri and have supplemented extra Niacin from day one. She still receives extra electrolytes and Niacin daily. We have a few other Pekin's and we always supplement while they grow. Just her bad leg goes out to the side and slightly back. She doesn't want to pick it up much. She used to swim with it and now does not. I heard from others that growth spurts can be a set back. We thought about wrapping the legs again for support like we did before.
