I go outside every hour to check on my ducks and quail.. make sure everyone’s doing OK. Check on water, eggs etc. The last check I notice one of my duck acting off. They usually chat with me when they see me approaching, nibble my feet. wag their butts. always. Only one got up. The other one was laying in the grass. Head lower then usual. I tried to encourage her to get up and she reluctantly did and then laid back down. I’m not kidding when I say her behavior changed in the span of an hour. I haven’t noticed any poop issues. I’m hoping it’s a fluke but she’s definitely acting different. Picked her up and she didn’t wanna walk. Breathing harder then usual. Is there anything I can look for? anything I can check..? The plants in my yard are safe for dogs. I just assumed they’d all be OK for ducks too. They have been around the plants for two months with no issues.... they are muscovys. Hatched June 21st

How hot is it where you are at?

105 degrees here this week twice. And possibly 100 today.

Wonder if heat exhaustion?

Are pupils dilated more than normal?

Looks like yours are maybe 5 weeks old...that's pretty young.

Maybe you could take them inside for a bit to keep an eye on them. Or put them in a basement that's easy to wash/spray out to watch.

You could try some peas and glucose water if you think she's weak.
