I have ducks, turkeys, chickens, and geese all laying up a storm. I've got two incubators going.

I just read that ducks need a higher humidity level. Uh oh. Is there some way I can incubate these eggs together?

I realize the ducks will take longer to hatch. I have a separate hatching drawer and I was going to just take them out according to their separate dates for hatching, but now I'm worried that their humidity needs aren't compatible in the incubator.

Is there any happy medium for incubating together or do I have to choose between them?

here's how I do it.. I set the duck eggs about a week in advance of setting the chicken eggs.. You will have to figure out the times that each takes.. by doing it this way, they all hatch at the same time.. my ducks = 28 days chickens = 21 days..

I run 40 to 45% humidity until day 18 for chickens and day 25 for ducks.. then I raise it to 60% and have pretty good success..

for the geese I do it the same except for the last 4 days, I put them under a setting chicken or turkey or duck, whatever is setting at the time.. I have some very old Buff Orpington hens that would set on a baseball at the drop of a hat.. LOL

i have duck and chicken eggs in the same bator now with a humidity of 44%. i read that they require the same humidity.
