If you want to move with your chickens by all means do it! It is not too difficult at all as long as you have a large enough vehicle.
I moved 4 chickens 20 hrs from LA to Seattle. I was by myself so only drove during daylight hours. See pics for my set up. I put a sheet over their crates to keep it dim. Honestly you wouldn't have even known they were back there (or their dog brother)! They were quiet and content.
I stayed at 2 different AirBNBs that had yards and gave me the ok to bring my chickens. So they got to stretch their legs at the end of the day.

preliminary trip will get some basics done and get coop/run built but
Still haven’t decided if I will move them. Thinking it over while I have some time yet
