Hi, I have 7 two month old ducklings and five chickens. How do I manage giving everyone the correct feed? Right now the chickens dive at the grower feed, and the ducklings eat mostly the grower but sometimes nibble at the layer. I’ve been giving the chickens extra oyster shell for this, but is there any other way to solve the problem?

Also, I’m keeping one of the boy ducklings. How do I take care of his feed requirements?

Instead of trying to keep them from eating each other feed. Get an all floc feed for both. Purina makes Flock Raiser which is formulated for all poultry and has enough niacin for water fowl too. Then just put oyster shell out for your layers. I have Ducks geese and chickens and this is the only way to feed when you keep them all together.

I have my chickens and ducks together
I have a feeder of starter crumble and a feeder of layer
And a bowl of oyster shells

Works out good. They.mostly all prefer the layer feed but I have chicks of all ages so i keep the crumble on hand
