Have 4 runner ducks sitting and one has 3 ducklings hours old. I put water close to the nest shallow fountain. Do I need to worry that they won't go to the water? Should I now put chick feed close should it be dry or wet food. Have never experienced moms with babies.

I'd go ahead and put chick feed close by they will find both or mama will show them both. Nice thing about having a mama hatch she takes care of everything, we just need to keep the food and water fresh and sit back and enjoy.

Congrats on your ducklings and hope you'll post some pics when mama brings them out.

I believe wet or dry crumbles work fine. I do dry, but I know others think wet is better. If wet just make sure it is changed frequently to prevent mold.
