Duck attacked by fox

On what I assume was the middle of the night monday, my sweet ducks were attacked by what I believe was a fox. I went out to 1 duck completely gone and the other tore up severely on his neck. Luckily, there appears to be no puncture wounds but his skin and feathers are missing. We moved him indoors with him remaining brother and have been leaving fresh food and water. I purchased a gentle iodine spray to clean him and blue kote (spelling may be incorrect) to dress the wound. He never was bleeding. He has received a warm bath and reapplied the same stuff I purchased. He is drinking water and moving around more and more each day. Trying to clean himself and flapping his wings. He even quacks very softly every now and then. Is there anything else I can do for him? I love my ducks so much, they are the sweetest things. I can’t lose him 😢 I’ve been blaming myself all week for this happening and I feel like I am also traumatized from this occurrence. Any help is greatly appreciated ♥️

*photo attached is from Tuesday morning when I first walked up to see them

I'm so sorry this happened, thankfully with no puncher wounds he should fully recover although I can imagine he is very sore and traumatized. As you are traumatized . :hugs Just keep up with what you are doing for him and make sure to keep them in a safe environment once he is ready to go back outside.
Please keep us updated on how he is doing.

Is there anything I can try to feed him other than his normal feed? Or anything I can put in the water to help? Both him and his brothers poop is a light greenish color. Not sure what this means 😞

Hopefully it's just from not eating . Try making a warm soup out of their feed. If you have dried mealworms maybe sprinkle some on top to encourage eating. Are they together? Duck can get depressed when isolated from their flock so if you can have the brother in with him it might help them both. Sorry I didn't get notified about your reply. How is he doing today?

His brother is in there with him! We gave him a nice warm bath yesterday and he just held his head under the water and you could see where he was drinking it and cleaning out his airways. I think he may have an upper respiratory infection from not being able to clean out his airways so much. He has some bubbles by his eye and that’s what I read online. I plan to get a saline solution today to wash it out. His tail wags like crazy when we put him in that bathtub though! I was able to cuddle him on the couch after wrapped in a towel and he fell asleep on me. I just love them so much: please anything you can think of to help, let me know! I appreciate your help so much! You have a recipe for the soup to make him?

To make the soup just take some of his feed then take warm water and a tad of ACV just to keep it fresh[wet feed can mold] Then just put the water on the feed and offer it. Many ducks that won't eat will drink their soup.
Use the saline to wash out his eyes too. Terramycin eye ointment is good for eye issues.
There are recipes online for this. saline wash for eyes.
So sweet he is comfy being with you. I hope he completely recovers ❤️
Do you have any antibiotics? if you think he may have an upper respiratory infection it would be a good idea to get him on one.

You should probably keep the wound hydrated so it can heal properly. You might find some information online if you search for bird scalp lacerations.
Thank you!!! That’s what seven been doing by keeping in a warm bath to loosen it up a bit. But we leave him with the wound dressing spray on to protect it as well
