Duck bites when handled.

My duck brownie is a White Call/Khaki Campbell mix. He's a little shy, but when I handle him he bites my ears. Are these Love Bites?

A lot of my ducks try to bite me when I pick them up because they hate it. The good part is it doesn't normally hurt.

Well, he tries to nip my feet when i'm not looking and walking away from him. Also, sometimes he just stands still, thinking about love nipping me, and he just lets me handle him.

He is being a bit bossy....Hope he settles as he matures and does not get more aggressive ......

My ducks love to come up to me and bite whatever they can reach, including ears and toes. Just taste testing, maybe?

Honestly, I think he's doing it because he's nervous about being handled. I'm pretty sure that khaki campbells are known to do that. I do not think he's bossy, I think he is just not used to being handled, because he gets really nervous when handled, but on the ground, he's fine. He also shivers when handled, and he's an older duck. He also stops shivering when he bites my ear. So it still could be love nipping. It's hard to tell with him. Silly 7 year old duck!!!

Is it doing the aggressive shaking they do before they attack ?....That's what Bouncer was doing when he would attack people or my Dog....Hope he is nervous .....
