Dear People,
Can anyone tell me what you think the following duck behavior is? My ducks sometimes move their heads up and down, with their beaks held perfectly level. It is a bobbing motion without any beak tilting at all! I have tried to make a note of what else is happening at the time, but as yet, have not succeeded.
If anyone can postulate what this interesting movement means, I would sure like to hear it!
Thanks.

its kind of a warning/alerting to let the others know that something is there. Mallards usually do this before flying away.
