I am treating several o fly ducks for bumblefoot. It is going well, but I ahi one problem, wrapping there feet! I used the plastic bag method, witch did work, but the bag kept tearing. I then purchased paws dog booties, which is basically a thick balloon that has a wider opening. They fit perfect, and seemed comfortable, but they are no waterproof, and the bandage keeps balling up inside. I then researched duck booties! I love this idea! They fit the feet perfect, they won't come off or tear, and maybe ever some models are waterproof! The hardest part is figuring out were to get them! And when I did find them, the model wasn't water proof, witch is important to me because I don't have a way to keep my bumblefoot ducks ou too the water, and at ht exam time liv ethem enough space. I do have an extra pen, but they would have little space, and I have accidentally locked ducks in there for a long period of time, and they threw themselves at the walls trying to get out! I need a pair of duck booties, that are 1, water proof, 2, easy to purchase. Would any of you happen to have a pair that you are willing to give away, or do you know were I could get some, with the qualities that I am looking for? Or, I need a ne way towrope there feet, because this is not working and it kills me! Thanks in advance, Avery

I have the neoprene kind, which are adorable and worked very well for treating bumblefoot, but are NOT waterproof. When my duck took a drink of water liquid ran down her body and into her boots. Then the water was held against her skin all day making it, “pruney.”

My solution was to have her wear boots only at night. I made everything in their barn and aviary soft - so she wasn’t standing on hard things during the day. Even things that seemed soft, like wood chips, I replaced with very thick layers of straw. She healed up quickly.

Sorry I don't know about any waterproof kinds. I hope someone else does.
