Hey guys, so i was wondering if it is possible to tell what breed these ducks are just by looking at the eggs.
A friend gave them to me so i unfortunately do not know what breed they are and i am very intrigued to know :)

As always, feedback greatly appreciated :)

Unfortunately, most duck eggs look extremely similar so it's very difficult to tell breed by the egg (unless it's one of the breeds that lays colored egg). Yours are the ever-common cream color of most duck eggs, so not sure anyone can identify them for you based on just a pic. :/

Can you ask the friend where they got the eggs and what types of ducks were around? That would at least narrow down your search. It's also important to know if they are Muscovy eggs or not because they have a week longer incubation period than other duck breeds.

May I ask what the darker smears are on the eggs?

Thank you!& I will be sure to ask and also the darker smears on the eggs are a simple marking to show me which way they need to be turned. i created a chart that has yes or no on it, to show whether or not the marks are showing :)
