Hey y’all are there any general stereotypes or characteristics is of classic duck breeds we all know and love? (I.e Pekins, runners, Cayuga, swedish, muscovy, call duck, khaki Campbell)

I am curious about this as well, and I think a lot of what you get in a duck is what you put in as far as time and kindness goes, but I've had questions on runner ducks. I have a neighbor who has gotten large batches of black, gray, and fawn and white runners three times. I've helped out a couple times when she's been on vacation and I noticed the fawn and white ones seemed much calmer in temperament and more curious/friendly towards people. I've had a gray runner and two fawn and white ones and had the same experience. The fawn and white runners are so calm and very friendly. Would love to hear other's experiences.

My pekins are pretty friendly and are easy to pick up because they're slow. I have two Duclairs and they are both pretty calm when it comes to interacting with them, but very loud and demanding - if they want something everyone will hear about it. My welsh harlequins are pretty quiet and just seem to do their own thing. They're super calm and quiet if I pick them up, but like most ducks, they try not to get picked up!
