Duckbreeder2020
Crossing the Road
Hi! I have 10 week old Pekin’s, Buff Orpington’s, and White Crested ducks. I have decided to start breeding ducks. I have 4 females and 7 males, I’m wondering at what age they can start breeding?

What do you mean not a good ratio?4 females to 7 males is not a good ratio.... To answer your question, the females should be bred once they begin laying eggs.
You have too many males and too few females. The drakes can overbreed the females, pull out feathers and tear skin, give them leg problems, kill the females, or drown them. You only want one drake for every 2-4 hens. What do you mean not a good ratio?

DONT BREED THEM!!
1) they are WAY too young (don’t let them hatch babies until atleast one year of age or the ducklings may die)
2) your ratio is way off! you need to keep all drakes, all hens, or 2+ hens per drake
3) NEVER BREED CRESTED DUCKS!! that is animal cruelty, and the babies and parents have many issues due to the crest
4) ADOPT DONT SHOP
Sorry, I ment I adopted them, I agree! I have 7 adopted dogs.
I wanted to breed the pekins only two times for my friends. And I am separating the drakes from the females in about 2 or 3 days.if you adopted them and agree with adopt don’t shop, why would you breed them?
