About four weeks ago I got my first 2 duckling. One Rouen and one Blue Swedish. Both are very friendly and love each other. I am pretty certain the Rouen is male as he almost never quacks and when he does it is not loud at all. Now the Swedish on the other hand quacks like crazy. Can this be a sign of their sexes or are they too young?

Also 2 weeks ago I purchased my 3rd and 4th ducklings. Both Magpies. Extremely cute! Will post pics later of them all. I'm just wondering if the Magpies would be able to breed with either the Rouen or Blue Swedish. I have no clue on sexes for the Magpies. One has a pale/white bill the other has a light pink bill. Is this any sign of their sexes? Thanks so much

Welcome and congrats on the ducklings. The quack is a very good indicator, but not definitive. We have Cayugas and Call ducks, so I am not very well versed on those breeds.

Hi and :welcome from Ohio. So glad you joined. I am not sure on the breeding issue. You should post your question in the duck forum on the index page. You are more likey to get help there. :thumbsup
