So all I really have experience with is my muscovy, and I obviously know how nice and quiet they are. I love quiet lol.

I wonder, are some breeds noisier than others? Or are all mallard derived breeds about the same noise wise?

My experience with Khaki Campbell's has been a good one. They aren't as quiet as Muscovy's but mine was a lot quieter than most ducks breeds. Every so often she would get in a mood and start quacking when she was lonely but for the most part, she was a very well behaved duck.

I have buffs and calls and soon Pekin(their babies, so in my house lol) compared to scovies? there loud.. all mallard derived will be because that is how they communicate...

How loud will likely depend on the day flock size and personality my buffs are LOUD they chatter up a bloody storm and calls? HA.. if anybody knows about them, the ducks are the prize winner for voice.

The pekin i am brooding are loud too.. somebody has a quack undertone already lol

When my runners want to be, they are loud mouths.
My Welsh Harlequin is pretty quiet. She doesn't often get quacking when the others do.
