Duck broke open almost fully formed egg

Why would a duck hen break open her own egg? I just found a almost formed egg, they're due in 10 days
She has her own house that is predator proof and she was covered in blood so I know it was her.
The duckling was broken out of the nest, yoke still intact

I just candled them all last night and all seemed to be doing fine. I did it quickly though so I may have skipped one as there was 13. This is her first clutch. I've never had a duck or hen break open their own eggs during development though...usually they're just pushed out
Everything looked intact and developing fine..i'm hoping she doesn't kill the rest
