Duckies!
I use ceramic eggs or golf balls and then each time a new egg is laid I swap it out.Do you know what I could use instead because I just want a couple of ducks and not over 12?

Would it hurt the duck's feelings when they don't hatch?I use ceramic eggs or golf balls and then each time a new egg is laid I swap it out.
No, not at all. I get what you mean but they sometimes know that there's something up with the fake eggs so they'll kick them out. You don't need to put them back in at that point because she shouldn't lay more once she's broody. Other times she'll keep sitting even after they've all hatched. By then you can take the fake ones out and she'll care for her babies like normal.Would it hurt the duck's feelings when they don't hatch?
