One of my ducks eggs started hatching today, and I think the mother buried it under the nesting, after it rolled out of the nest. Is this normal, and should I move the egg back into her nest?

If the egg is hatching, it needs to go back under the mother or into an incubator. It will not hatch if it is chilled.
Thanks. Should I use gloves? Does it matter what kind (leather, rubber, etc.)?

Thanks. I'll try it, but mama's pretty protective and I may lose some fingers haha
