Hello all I have a duck a few weeks maybe like 4-5 weeks old and it’s not wanting to walk or get up it try’s to move around with one leg. We have separated the duck from the other ducks we have (we have two other the same age) we have given the duck niacin and we massage his leg I’m not sure what else to do so any advice would help. (He swims just fine)

Are you using a BComplex we found that when a duckling has a niacin deficiency the BComplex works the best. TSC has Durvet liquid BComplex that is the best there is for getting them over a deficiency. Unless it’s an injury have you checked the leg over good for swelling ? Is the ducklings foot folded all the time? Or can it lay it flat like normal?

The ducklings leg is not swollen and it is folded all the time unless I unfold it myself. I will definitely grab the durvet and give it a go! Thank you!!!

You can make a shoe to keep the foot laying flat too. I’ll get the info
You can do something like this https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...s-with-tape-picture-tutorial-and-video.75247/ or take a piece of plastic cut from a cool whip container or similar cut to size of the foot wrap in vet wrap to cover the sharp edges place the foot flat on it then wrap with vet wrap going up past the ankle be sure to wrap snug but don’t cut off circulation.
