Hi, I am Max Kressly
I visited a friend i use to visit but this morning, when he's duck saw me, it started chasing me, shaking it's head and tail.. And it was chasing only me. When i try to sack it, it does not move but chase me. Realy i got scared because i am not used to animals and i did not do anything to that duck. I went home, changed my shirt and came back (thinking it was the color of my shirt ) but that duck started chasing me again.
What does it means and what should i do ?

Sounds like hormones you didn't say if it is drake[male duck] sometimes they get really crazy during breeding season which means if they don't know you and sometimes even if they do they will try their best to chase you away, and you did exactly what he wanted you to do you ran. Next time go in with a broom, and if he comes at you like he is going to be aggressive stop him in his tracks put the broom out in front between you and him still holding on to the broom, and if that doesn't stop him then use it like you were sweeping off the porch but your sweeping the duck away. You need to show him your not afraid most are full of bluff and once you show him your not afraid will back down and waddle off.

Thanks a lot Miss Lydia. I asked my friend who stays in that house and he told me he thinks it's a male. I will try what you said but to be quite frank i was scared and i hope i will be bold enough to push it back without mistakenly hurt it due to my fear. And once again, thanks. I'll try that.

They don't have teeth so he can't bite you.

I had the same thing happen too, when my children were small we went to a park where the ducks and geese got fed by the public, not knowing this we just thought we'd take the kids to see them, we'll we got surrounded and they had us up on the park bench I was terrified they geese would eat us up, My brother who was with us said for me to take the kids and run and he'd keep them occupied. LOL This was a long, long time before I got ducks and geese and wasn't going to share this because of how whimpy I was back then. lol, but here it is for all to see.

Now I know they are all bluff.

Well, when i was a kid, my step mother's daughter use to scared me saying if i come close to a Duck it will turn into a snake and i guess, that fear was still somewhere on the inside. Thanks to you all, i'll try to be bold and try Miss Lydia's solution. Hope i will not ran this time. But i think i will do this during the day ...
Thanks to you all, tomorrow morning, i'll give it a try.
