I got 6 Mixed Breed Duck Eggs, the Drakes are AppleYard/Buff X AppleYard(Back Cross).
Hens are: AppleYard, Buff, Cayuga, & Peking.

I'm just curious to know what the potential of what the crosses would look like. Duck genetics are something I haven’t learned yet.

Appleyard x Appleyard = Appleyard
Appleyard x Pekin =? The Pekin could have anything hiding under the white. Many people get ducklings which look like black Swedish.
Appleyard x Buff = ducklings will have the Mohawk pattern but they also have the blue allele. So, the black will be replaced with gray.
Appleyard x Cayuga = ducklings which look like Cayugas.
The other drake would have similar results but because he is mixed he could give a blue allele too. So, all the black goes to gray and the gray to light silver if a duckling gets that allele from him.

Hope this helps. Please post pictures after they hatch.

Interesting.

I'll definitely share duckling pictures.
