Duck coop pictures?

That’s beautiful! I’d like to give one rec. put hardware cloth up half way around you pen your wire is large enough for a raccoon to reach in an grab a duck by the neck and try and pull through the fence and I am sure you don’t want that. We’ve seen many ducks killed like that on here.
They are within 5 different fences. Our main horse pasture fence, my goat fence within that, then a garden fence within that, then their free range pen fence, and lastly their coop. This coop is surrounded by 5 different fences on all sides. Plus the goat pasture is patrolled 24/7 by 2 livestock guardian dogs. I hope they are safe, if not my dogs are not doing their job.

Aren't dogs the best?! (:

Wow, this is exactly what I want for my ducks! What material did you use for the floor? Did you build it? Unfortunately, I don’t know how to build and most of the coops I’ve seen cost a fortune. Especially since I need it just for 3 pet ducks. If you don’t mind me asking about how much would it cost to build a coop like that?
What do you do you use for them to swim? Also what will you do for shade? I am sorry for all of the questions! LOL! This is the first coop that seems practical for my ducks. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love all of the other coops everyone has shown me but there is no way I can afford them nor would the place I live allow it.

Sorry for the delay, was painting a house all weekend. You can find pics if you click the 'My Coop' link under my name to the left.

For the actual coop it is a NewAgePet EcoFlex Fontana chicken coop. We did not add the roosting bars and I added some hardware cloth to the inside corners for security. It does need some more ventilation which is todays task. It was about $150 delivered to me.

For the run I think that is more what you are asking. The floor is the same hardware cloth I used for the rest. It then has a layer of weed barrier and then the gravel on top of that. I would say all materials (Everything was new, urban homestead so not much spare material around) were $350 or so. Swimming is done with a kiddie pool. We get them on sale around here and I fill/drain daily as they use it. I have a roll of shade cloth I have not yet made into shade tarps. In the interim I lay burlap over the top. Most of the day they are free range in my yard and plenty of shade.

@Krobin8710 He's talented with building. He looked at some pictures and designed it himself. But, my sister-in-law, who is not a builder at all, just built a chicken run that looks a LOT like ours, and she did it alone with her kids by following along with an online tutorial.

Talent on both sides of family. Awesome. Thank you for getting back to me. Let’s see how well I do. :jumpy

Well, they're actually brother and sister, so maybe it's a family thing. But I think you should just go for it! Just start and you'll figure it out along the way. Projects always have bumps along the way - that's just normal. You can do it!

I am building this one now it will have a big chicken wire area around it.
