Okay!
So, I posted this a similar little blurb on the chicken forum and then I realized there was one for ducks, HOORAH!

I received 3 Indian Runners on Easter as a surprise from my eccentric aunt. Now that the ducks are getting big, we had to start thinking about coops.
I had seen a post on here about another duck owner who used a Lowes dog house as a duck coop. Is this safe?
The ducks are four weeks old today and we are contemplating ordering the house.
We would put a door with a lock onto the front of the house to make it predator-proof.
Also, what would be the best material for insulating the coop?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a picture of my babies in their run :)! (I had an umbrella in there for shade!)

No platform needed. It has legs to get it up off the ground already. It comes with plexiglass to put in the windows if you want to put those in during the winter.
I put hardware cloth in the windows and we also added a hook to the bottom on the side and on the roof to bungie the roof down at night as extra precaution. Door constructed and added and locked with a carabiner. It has served my girls well and as long as it is just for night time housing, 3 runners fit fine.
